1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains which personal data is collected through www.dowsettapproach.com, why it is collected, who it is shared with, and what rights you have. Because visitors come from Switzerland and from the European Economic Area, this website is operated in line with both the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

3. What personal data we collect
When you sign up for the free video series
Your first name and email address, submitted through a Constant Contact form. The sign up is recorded together with the date and the page you signed up from.
When you use the contact form
Your name, email address, subject and message. The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which processes your IP address and interaction data to tell people apart from automated scripts.
When you place an order in the shop
Your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery address, country, the products ordered, any order notes, and the payment status. Payment details such as card numbers are entered directly with the payment provider and are not stored on this website. If you create a customer account, your user name and an encrypted password are stored as well.
When you subscribe to the newsletter
Your email address, your name, and the fact that you gave permission, including the date.
Automatically, when you visit the website
Your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the pages you view and how long you stay, the page or advertisement you arrived from, and click identifiers from advertising links (gclid, gbraid and wbraid). This data is collected by the web server, by Google Analytics 4, by Jetpack and WooCommerce Analytics, and, where you have consented, by Google Ads.
4. Why we use your data
- to send you the free video series and the emails you signed up for;
- to answer your questions;
- to process, deliver and administer orders and payments;
- to manage your customer account;
- to measure how the website is used and to improve it;
- to measure and improve advertising campaigns, where you have consented;
- to keep the website secure and to prevent spam and fraud;
- to meet legal obligations, such as keeping accounting records.
5. Legal basis
- Consent – the newsletter and the free video series, and all statistics and marketing cookies.
- Performance of a contract – orders, payments, delivery and customer accounts.
- Legitimate interest – security of the website, spam and fraud prevention, and answering the questions you send us.
- Legal obligation – retention of invoices and accounting records.
You can withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect processing that already took place before you withdrew it.
6. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run this website, and only as far as they need it:
- Constant Contact – email marketing and the sign up forms.
- Google – Analytics 4, Ads, reCAPTCHA and Fonts.
- Automattic – Jetpack and WooCommerce Analytics.
- WooPayments/Stripe and PayPal – payment processing.
- StreamingVideoProvider and YouTube – hosting and playback of videos.
- CookieHub – the cookie banner and the consent records.
- Our hosting provider – storage and delivery of the website.
Data may also be disclosed where we are legally required to do so.
7. International transfers
Several of these providers are established in the United States or process data there. Where that is the case, transfers take place on the basis of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, together with the additional measures those providers apply.
8. How long we keep your data
- Newsletter and video series subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed.
- Messages sent through the contact form: up to two years after the last contact.
- Orders, invoices and accounting records: for as long as the law requires, currently ten years.
- Customer accounts: until you ask us to delete the account.
- Statistics: Google Analytics 4 keeps user level data for the limited period set in the property; aggregated reports are kept longer.
- Consent records: 365 days, or longer where they are needed as proof of consent.
9. Cookies and tracking
This website uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies that are not strictly necessary are placed only after you have consented through the cookie banner. The full description, including the complete cookie list and the option to change your choice, is in the Cookie Policy.
10. Advertising
This website advertises through Google Ads. If you consent to marketing cookies, we can see which advertisement led to a sign up or an order, and Google may use that information to improve the campaigns. If you do not consent, no advertising cookies are stored and Google receives only aggregated signals that do not identify you.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- ask which personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time.

If you believe your data is not handled correctly, you can complain to a supervisory authority: in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), and in the European Economic Area the data protection authority of the country where you live.
12. Security
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Payment data is handled by the payment providers and is not stored on this website.

This website contains links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of those websites.
14. Changes and contact
