A situation.
Sometimes the reaction can happen before we’ve even had time to think about it.
Eric looks at how the nervous system and body respond to the information around us.

Eric also explores why understanding what’s happening intellectually can be very different from experiencing a clearing that’s focused personally on you.
After watching, think about something that tends to create a reaction in you.
It might be a particular situation.
A conversation.
A person.
A memory.
Or something you regularly worry about.
Notice what happens in your body when you bring it to mind.
Then let the thought go and simply notice what happens next.
You don’t need to change anything.
Just observe the response.
Video 5 brings together much of what you’ve explored throughout the series.
But it also takes us somewhere important.
If awareness helps us recognise a pattern, what happens when we begin exploring what’s actually sitting behind it?
Eric will also look at compassion in a different way and explain what can become possible when some of the emotional charge behind our reactions begins to soften.
